Lamar Days

I didn't work this week and it felt weird not to have anything to do in the afternoon. I kept busy though trying to get stuff done so we can close on the house.  Monday evening we went to the high school to watch Bekah's choir performance. She did well and it was fun to get to listen to the band and remember how much I used to love to play. We went to get ice cream after the performance and we had some good laughs. 

Wednesday Mary, the kids, and I went to Colorado Springs to do some food storage shopping and go to the bank. It was nice to get out of Lamar for a little while and we got our chores accomplished. Daphne was happy cause we took her to McDonalds for lunch and she liked get all the snacks at Costco.

This weekend was Lamar Days. They had a little parade so we all went. Daphne hasn't been to many parades and she loved running and grabbing the candy though she teared up a couple times cause all the kids were faster than she was, but a couple were nice and shared with her. After naps we went over to the park to take in all the festivities, but it was pretty disappointing this year. We stayed to let Daphne play on the playground.

Johnny and I both had talks today in church. We talked about the blessings of reading the Book of Mormon. I think we did pretty well. 

Oh so sick.

This last week has been pretty rough. Little Quentin got a really bad double ear infection. He was really fussy over the weekend and started having a fever. It wasn't to bad so we thought maybe he was teething or got his Nana's cold, but Monday when he woke up from his nap he was BURNING up so we took his temp again. It was almost 104! We headed straight to the hospital. I'm so glad that I have Johnny. Its so good to have some one who knows when it is and isn't the right time to go. It helps keep me calm to. He has been taking his meds everyday, but yesterday was the first day he started acting like himself. The rest of the week he was super tired and cranky. He only wanted me and even when I would hold him he would still whine and cry. It was horrible. 

Saturday I needed a break so Mary was kind enough to stay with him while we took Daphne to the park to walk around and enjoy the warm day. It was so nice to have a break. We had a nice Mothers day. We celebrated on Saturday, because John had come up to visit and do some stuff around the house and he couldn't stay for Sunday. Bekah got me and Mary some flowers and we got a church cd from the ward! I got to take a nap and it was nice after the long week I had.

We this week we found a house! After some negotiation we settled on a price. So unless the inspection goes badly this is the house we will be making our home! 

Its 3 beds, 2 baths. Is 1800 square feet. Has and awesome kitchen and basement and hardwood floors. I love it!
