Playgroup

Heidi (Mom) and Jennifer

When we got here to Atlanta one of the first things I wanted to do was find a group of girls that wanted to have a playgroup. I knew it was essential for me to do to keep my sanity. The first time we went to church a nice girl came up and asked if I was the new girl that wanted to start a playgroup. I don't know how she new, but I said yes and she made it happen. We have had a play date every week except a couple weeks in December(for obvious reasons). I have wanted to post about these girls for a long time but, this was the first time we have ever taken pictures.

Stephanie(mom) and Emory

We decided to have a little Easter Egg Hunt and it turned out so great. A lot of girls were missing this day which is sad, but we still had a great time.

Sorry Daphne is half nakey, she made a huge mess at lunch.
We always have such a great time and I really love all the girls. Lunch is always served and the kids are always tired and ready for naps when we head out. They all play really well together which is so nice, especially since we have such a large group. We usually have nine moms and ten kids so it gets crazy sometimes, but its always fun.

The brunettes are Erika(mom) and Rosalyn and the blondes are Rosie(mom) and Braelynn.

Old Fourth Ward

The other day Johnny had the day off so we went to a new park he heard about. I didn't think to much of it, thought it would be just a little park with a play ground and maybe a couple swings, but this place was so much more. I had a tone of different play ground sets, cool saucer swings, a cool walking park and a splash pad. I can't wait to go back in the summer and let Daphne run around.

Yesterday we went with our friends Erika and Roslyn to the aquarium. It was fun to see Daphne and Roslyn play together and squeal and laugh about the fish. I didn't get any pictures, but we are definitely planning on playing again.

Impromptu

A couple weeks ago Johnny had the week off and we were just planning on sitting around the house doing nothing special and that is exactly how the the week started. Tuesday morning we woke up. Johnny was studying and Daphne and I were watching Price is Right. Johnny through me for a loop and asked if I wanted to go to Disney World! Of course I said yes, as long as we could afford it. So he purchased the tickets with the help of a cousin that is a Disney travel agent and we were on the road by 2:30.
We had such a great time. We all ended up getting sick on the trip, but it didn't slow us down. We headed to the Animal Kingdom first. It wasn't our favorite, but I thought it was fun especially the Safari Tour and Finding Nemo the Musical was awesome. Next was the Magic Kingdom, which is my favorite! It just makes me feel like a kid again. I loved showing Daphne everything and getting to see it through her eyes. She loved meeting all the princesses and to go on the rides. Hollywood Studios was fun. We enjoyed the rides and the shows. I even got to be an extra in the Indiana Jones show. Epcot was the last stop on the tour. We went around meeting all the characters we could find. We got to see all the princesses.
It was such a fun little family vacation. Now that I have been with just Johnny and now as a mom I can say it is so much more fun to do it with your kid. A lot more work, but more fun! Daphne is now a Disney princess expert, she loves them. She reads a princess treasury book she got for Christmas all day and looks at the pictures from the trip all the time.
