"We're funny"

We had to get up really early this morning so we could drop Johnny off at the hospital so we could have the car so I could go to an ultrasound appointment. I had to get this ultrasound because they were a little worried about my placenta being so low, but it looks like it is already moving up. So all is good on the baby front.

Having the car is always a special treat and we usually try to find something to go and do. Today we headed out to a mall with some friends and hung out at a McDonalds Play Place. We had fun with our friends, got some cute stuff for our little boy and Daphne and Rozlynn flirted with a much older man.

I have to tell you the cutest thing Daphne did today. We were getting ready for night time prayers and I told Daphne to fold her arms. She did so, and then Daddy distracked her by saying "Dory". She then proceeded to say "Dory, Dory, Dory" I told her to stop and fold her arms. She did and then Daddy said "Nemo". She then proceded to say "Nemo, Nemo, Nemo". I told her to be quiet and fold her arms. She did as she was told and then Daddy said "Marlin". She started "Marlin, Marlin, Marlin". By this time I was frusturated and told Johnny to stop. She then started laughing and said as clear as day, "We're funny". It was so cute and I can't stop laughing about it. She is so silly. Man I LOVE her!!!

Picnic in the park

Today we went out and had a picnic lunch. The last few days have been cold and rainy so when I saw the sun shinning this morning I knew we had to go outside. Daphne loved running around picking flowers and popping bubbles. It was a perfect way to eat lunch. The only thing that would make it better was if Johnny could have joined us.

Old News

Well I'm sure most of you know but this little baby is going to be a boy! We had the ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. It was funny when we went because the tech looked and said that it was a girl and the first the thing i thought was "no its not he's a boy". I said something to her about that I had a feeling it was a boy and she said she would come back and check later. After all the measurements she looked again and said " Oh there it is. Its a boy." I just new it! We are so excited to be having a little boy and I cannot wait until he gets here.

Johnny had Thursday AND Friday off this week and it made my little heart so happy to get a long weekend with him. We had some fun outings including a doctors visit and a date night to see Iron Man 3! Lots of fun...
and we get to do it again this week!

Hip Hip Hooray  for long weekends!!!

P.S Daphne is 27lbs and 33inches. She is getting so big!

First day of summer

Today we had a play date with Erika and Rosalyn. They came to our house and we took a walk down to this little park by our house. It was fun and really hot. We had thought about maybe going to the pool instead of doing a walk and after our walk we thought we should swim too. So we got our stuff and headed to Erika's to swim in the pool. It was so fun! Daphne loved splashing and jumping of the edge into the water. Daphne loves her little friend. Even on the drive home they were laughing and smiling at each other, and after such a long day they were both really tired.

Parks

The last two mornings have been spent at parks! Daphne has decided she only likes to swing and NOTHING else. All I can say is my arms are tired. We have had to go out cause the weather has been beautiful. I hope it stays that way.
Yesterday was fun because we got to see an old friend from Dominica. Tanya lives right down the road from us so we may be seeing more of her and Baby Dominic this summer.
Today was play group and the more time I spend with these girls the more I love them. Today we got to fight for our children together because a crazy squirrel kept coming over and trying to eat food out of their little hands. The kids thought it was hilarious, us moms on the other hand didn't. I really didn't want my baby to get rabies or something. It was such a fun day though.

Cochran Baby #2

This post is coming to you pretty late in the game. I'm already 18 weeks, almost half way done. I really don't know why we have waited to tell the world our news for so long. Johnny seemed pretty adamant about waiting until I was 20 weeks which seems really cautious to me, but considering my history I can understand his caution. This morning though he said go ahead and tell everyone.
I'm due on Sept 1st and can't wait! The first three months were pretty hard, but I'm starting to feel a lot better lately. We can't wait to find out if this little one is a boy or girl and we are trying to prepare Daphne for it.

Easter

We had a pretty low key day. We got up and went to church which is always enjoyable, especially since Daphne has started nursery. After a very short nap Daphne got up and we hid Easter eggs and enjoyed Daphne searching for them. I had to help quite a bit cause Johnny hid some of them pretty well. We had a delicious dinner and talked to family. Pretty much a perfect Sunday.
